US-based Language Services Associates, Inc. (LSA) and Lingolet, Inc., a language AI solutions provider, announced a strategic alliance on March 25, 2025.

The collaboration will enable LSA customers to access Lingolet’s AI-enabled products, while Lingolet’s clients will gain access to LSA’s live human interpreters. This integration is expected to allow both companies to address increasingly diverse client needs and price points.

LSA acknowledged that while they will always consider language services a high-skill service, many buyers are increasingly focused on cost savings and guaranteed (if not instant) connection times. “Working with Lingolet will allow us to provide customers with both traditional and new buying criteria in mind,” Scott Cooper, CEO at LSA, told Slator.

While acknowledging they had the internal talent to integrate AI into its offerings, LSA opted to prioritize existing initiatives and seek a partnership, added Cooper. Choosing Lingolet was a decision facilitated by a long-standing relationship between the two companies, along with synergies on multiple levels.

A key differentiator for Lingolet, stated Cooper, was their collaborative approach from the outset, in contrast to other tech companies that typically dictate workflow adjustments.

Technology-wise, the single most important feature for LSA is AI interpretation integration with real-time language conversion capabilities. Other features included with Lingolet’s technology are AI-enabled sentiment analysis, AI quality assurance that automates monitoring and evaluation of customer service interactions, and AI-enhanced session controls for live interactions, including automatic call routing and personalized responses.

Cooper shared that integration will be 100% driven by customer needs. LSA intends to continue offering all its core service lines, augmenting them with Lingolet offerings as customers seek those solutions. “While we can move immediately, I suspect it will be a measured rollout as customers assess their own risk tolerances and cost objectives… it is highly unlikely that future institutional buyers of language services will go ‘all or nothing’ between only humans or only AI. They will want a sliding scale range of options. We want to be there for them as they make that decision and modify it over time,” he added.

Expected benefits by both parties include accelerated development of customer solutions and joint marketing initiatives, beginning in Q2 2025.

LSA is also acquiring an ownership stake in Lingolet, with Cooper joining its board. “At Lingolet, we believe the future of language services lies in empowering customers with choice and control… This partnership allows us to bring premium AI solutions to LSA’s global customer base while providing Lingolet customers access to world-class human interpretation services when they need them,” said Jerry Song, CEO of Lingolet.

Both companies will support each other exclusively in their respective areas of expertise. Financial details of the deal remain confidential.
